Easy to install
The wireless counting head revolutionises railway sustainability by eliminating the need for cumbersome cables and disruptive digging along tracks. Our innovative solution removes traditional wiring, reducing implementation time and minimising future ground damage. By avoiding extensive excavation and heavy machinery, we significantly cut CO₂ emissions and lower the carbon footprint. Moreover, without the need for kilometres of copper cables, the CO₂ footprint is further reduced.
Equipped with a battery pack and utilising a low-power measurement principle, the energy consumption of train detection is greatly decreased, positively impacting your ecological footprint.
Sustainability
Reliable and secure train detection is crucial for safe and efficient railway operations. Our innovative wireless counting head offers a cutting-edge solution, incorporating multiple patents, designed to meet the industry’s strictest standards and regulations. Developed in accordance with SIL4 —the highest safety integrity level for electronic systems— our wireless counting head (WAC-24S) combines advanced low-power measurement principles with experienced engineering.
Our commitment to the highest safety standards gives us confidence that we will soon bring a fully SIL4-certified axle counting system to the market. This certification will mark a significant milestone in railway safety technology, offering operators a trustworthy and efficient solution for train detection. We believe that our wireless counting head will set a new industry benchmark, contributing to safe and reliable railway operations worldwide.
Safety
The wireless counting head simplifies railway infrastructure like never before. Our goal is to significantly reduce the number of objects along the track: fewer cables, fewer pipelines, fewer connection boxes, fewer cabinets, and fewer ACEs. The fewer components along the railway, the more centralised the architecture becomes, leading to cheaper maintenance and fewer malfunctions.
By eliminating the need for digging along the track, we reduce the demand for hard-to-find personnel and minimise disruptions. Fewer track closures mean less inconvenience for passengers and freight transport.
Simplicity
History
Our journey began seven years ago, in 2017, with the development of our first wireless counting head, which we call WAC-17. This initial model is not certified but has been successfully deployed in various non-mission-critical use cases, such as registering trains and wagons for logistical purposes on main lines, in shunting yards and other dark territories. WAC-17 utilises the same low-power measurement principle as the forthcoming SIL4-certified WAC-24S but employs different wireless technologies like LoRa.
ProRail, the Dutch railway operator, is a global leader in adopting new innovative techniques for the railway industry. Building on our initial non-certified wireless counting head, we entered into an innovation partnership with ProRail in 2022 following a tender procedure. This collaboration has provided us with the opportunity to develop a new, SIL4-certified wireless counting head (WAC-24S) based on our original design.
Through this partnership, we have access to the knowledge, expertise, and requirements of various disciplines within ProRail related to train protection and adjacent fields. Additionally, the innovation partnership allows us to continuously and intensively test new versions of our product on the Dutch railway network.

About us
We believe that digitisation is the key to overcoming the significant challenges facing the railway industry now and in the years ahead. With safety as our paramount priority, we are committed to innovating solutions that make rail transport more efficient, cost-effective, and passenger-friendly.
By thinking differently and reimagining existing technologies, we leverage digitisation to revolutionise train detection systems with our disruptive technology. As a technology start-up dedicated to modernising outdated railway technologies, we design and implement digital train detection systems that are easy to install and maintain. Our solutions help accelerate the rollout of these systems by several years, delivering substantial cost savings at a time when the railway sector’s budgets are under considerable pressure.
